Extended Producer Responsibility is an environmental policy approach adopted to reduce plastic waste. EPR targets making the producer responsible for the entire lifecycle of his plastic product from production up to post-consumer disposal. The burden of waste management will then be shifted from governments to manufacturers and importers of plastic goods.
