CRS Mark for Copying Machines/Duplicators

Under Indian Standard IS 13252, Part 1:2010, copying machines and duplicators must be certified with the BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme). This certification guarantees adherence to Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) established safety and quality criteria. Manufacturers have to file an application, test their goods in a BIS-registered lab, and, when necessary, go through factory inspection. Foreign companies have to name an Authorized Indian Representative (AIR). Valid for two years, the certification guarantees consumer safety and regulatory compliance for sale on the Indian market by allowing the BIS CRS mark on products.
