CRS Mark for CCTV Cameras/CCTV Recorders

Before they are supplied in India, the BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) accreditation guarantees that recorders and CCTV cameras follow Indian safety and quality criteria. Under IS 13252 (Part 1: 2010), governed by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the certification relates safety criteria for electronic equipment. Manufacturers have to produce necessary paperwork, send their goods for testing to BIS-registered labs, and finish the online registration process. The certification has two years validity and needs to be renewed in line with that. Compliance with the Essential Security Requirements for CCTV will be obligatory from April 9, 2025.
