CRS Mark for LED Lighting Chains

LED Lighting Chains marketed in India must comply with safety, quality, and performance standards by means of the BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) certification.  IS 10322 (Part 5/Sec 9), the relevant Indian Standard, addresses environmental effect, energy economy, and electrical safety covering 2017.  Manufacturers have to apply via the Manak Online platform once their goods have been evaluated by a BIS-approved lab.  Approved, the CRS mark can be put on goods.  The certification expires two years and needs renewal.  For certification and compliance processes, foreign producers have to name an Authorized Indian Representative (AIR).
