CRS Mark for Fixed General Purpose LED Luminaries

Fixed General Purpose LED Luminaires in India must be certified in the BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) order to guarantee product safety and quality.  Under direction from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), these luminaires have to follow IS 10322 (Part 5/Sec 1: 2012).  Before utilizing the BIS CRS mark, manufacturers have to test their goods in a BIS-registered lab, apply using the BIS CRS portal, and get approval.  This certification must be renewed often; it is good for two years.  It guarantees adherence to guidelines for safety, performance, and energy economy for LED lighting products marketed in India.
