CRS Mark for Plasma/ LCD/LED Televisions of Screen Size 32″ & Above

In India, the BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) Mark is required for plasma, LCD, and LED televisions of 32 inches or more, ensuring conformity with IS 616:2017 (Indian Standard for safety standards of audio, video, and related electronic apparatus).  Manufacturers must submit their goods for testing to a BIS-approved laboratory and apply online with the necessary documentation.  Foreign producers must designate an Authorized Indian Representative (AIR).  Once authorized, the BIS CRS mark can be applied to items, enabling for legal sales in India.  The accreditation improves safety, quality, and customer trust while assuring compliance with Indian regulatory requirements.
