CRS Mark for Rice Cooker

The BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) accreditation for Rice Cookers guarantees adherence to Indian Standard IS 302-2-15:2009 (Safety of Household Electrical Appliances – Part 2-15). Before sale in India, this certification—mandated for manufacturers—guarantees product quality and safety. Product testing at a BIS-approved lab, application filing using the Manakonline system, and BIS approval follow from here. Manufacturers certified can label their goods with the BIS CRS mark. The registration has two years validity and needs renewal. BIS can occasionally run factory inspections and compliance checks to help to uphold standards of quality.
