CRS Mark for Standalone LED Modules for General Lighting

To guarantee product safety and quality, Standalone LED Modules for General Lighting in India must be certified under the BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme).  This certification, which is governed by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), requires conformity with IS 16103 (Part 1): 2012, which establishes the safety criteria for LED modules.  Before selling their products in India, manufacturers must test them at a BIS-approved laboratory, submit an application with the test results, and receive clearance.  Once certified, the product must have the BIS CRS mark.  The certification is valid for two years and must be renewed to ensure continuous compliance.
