CRS Mark for Television other than Plasma/ LCD/LED TVs

In India, televisions other than Plasma, LCD, and LED TVs must have the BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) certificate.  It guarantees adherence to IS 616:2010, which addresses safety criteria for modern electronics.  Manufacturers have to apply online via the BIS site, send their goods to a BIS-registered lab for testing, and furnish required documents.  Authorized Indian Representatives (AIR) are required of foreign manufacturers.  Approved, the BIS certifies products, good for two years, therefore guaranteeing quality and safety.  Maintaining customer confidence in electronic devices and legal market access in India depend on this certification.
