CRS Mark for USB Driven Barcode Readers

BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) certification is required for USB-driven barcode readers, barcode scanners, iris scanners, and optical fingerprint scanners in accordance with IS 13252 (Part 1):2010, which covers IT equipment safety. Manufacturers must test their goods at a BIS-approved lab, then submit an application through the BIS portal and get clearance. Foreign producers require an Authorized Indian Representative (AIR). Following a successful review, BIS awards certification, which allows items to bear the BIS Standard Mark. The certification is only valid for two years and must be renewed. Compliance guarantees lawful market entrance, safety, and customer trust in India.
