ISI Mark for Flame- Producing Lighters

The BIS Certification License for flame-producing lighters guarantees conformity with IS/ISO 9994:2018, so defining safety criteria for lighters used in India.  The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) mandated this certification to confirm durability, flame control, leakage resistance, and product quality.  Manufacturers must apply, go through factory inspections, and pass product testing in BIS-approved labs.  Under the Flame-Producing Lighters (Quality Control) Order, 2024 compliance is mandated.  Penalties under the BIS Act, 2016 can follow from non-compliance.  Manufacturers and importers must certify if they are to guarantee product safety and legal market access in India.
