ISI Mark for Safes, Safe Deposit Locker Cabinets and key locks

Safes, Safe Deposit Locker Cabinets, and Key Locks' BIS certifications guarantees adherence to Indian safety and security requirements.  Under the Quality Control Order (QCO) 2023 it is required.  For safes, IS 550 (Part 1: 2022; for safe deposit locker cabinets, IS 5244:2020; for key locks, IS 17566:20211).  Products must be tested, factories inspected, and quality control verified by BIS by manufacturers.  Certified goods have to be ISI marked.  Exemptions apply to MSME products only for exports; longer deadlines apply here as  Penalties under the BIS Act, 2016 could follow from non-compliance.
