ISI Mark for Steel Wires or Strands, Nylon or Wire Ropes and Wire mesh
The BIS certification license guarantees in India Steel Wires, Strands, Nylon/Wire Ropes, and Wire Mesh's quality and safety. It is required for the Ministry of Commerce & Industry's Quality Control Order (QCO). Among key Indian Standards (IS) are IS 2266:2019 (Steel Wire Ropes), IS 2365:2018 (Wire Suspension Ropes), IS 278:2009 (Barbed Wire), and IS 16014:2018 (Wire Mesh Gabions). Manufacturers have to follow IS criteria, set up internal testing, use the BIS portal, go through inspection, and pass sample testing for certification. May 21, 2024 demands compliance.
