TEC (Telecommunication Engineering Center) Approval is needed by many. This includes those who make, import, or use telecom equipment in India.

1. Telecom Equipment Manufacturers: · Indian Manufacturers: Domestic makers of telecom products like phones and routers. · Foreign Manufacturers: Companies from abroad that make telecom gear and want to sell in India. They might need an Authorized Indian Representative (AIR).

2. Importers of Telecom Equipment: · Importing Companies: Indian firms that bring in telecom gear. They must ensure it meets TEC standards.

3. Distributors and Dealers: · Local Distributors: Those who sell telecom products in India must deal with TEC-certified items.

2. Wireless and Radio Communication Devices like Wi-Fi Routers and Access Points, Wireless LAN Equipment, Bluetooth Devices RF Transmitters and Receivers, Radio Modems

3. Network Infrastructure Equipment like Base Transceiver Stations (BTS), Antennas and Repeaters, Optical Fiber Communication Equipment, Microwave Equipment, Satellite Communication Equipment, Transmission and Switching Equipment

4. Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Devices like Smart Home Devices (e.g., Smart Locks, Smart Thermostats with telecom connectivity), Connected Vehicles (Telematics, Infotainment Systems), Industrial IoT Devices, M2M Modules for Communication Networks

5. Wired Communication Devices like Landline Telephones and EPABX Systems, Modems and Gateways (ADSL, DSL, Cable), Ethernet Switches and Routers, Communication Cables and Connectors

6. Telecom Terminal Equipment such as Set-top boxes (STBs), Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Devices, Videoconferencing Equipment, Broadband Devices and Customer Premises Equipment

7. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Devices like RFID Readers and Tags, NFC-enabled Devices
