WPC-ETA Approval

The WPC-ETA (Wireless Planning and Coordination – Equipment Type Approval) is a key certification. It’s given by the Wireless Planning & Coordination (WPC) Wing of India’s Ministry of Communications. It’s needed for wireless products in unlicensed bands in India. This approval makes sure products follow Indian rules. It also prevents interference with licensed spectrum. The WPC Wing is part of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. It was founded in 1952 and now operates through the Saral Sanchar Online Portal. WPC issues ETA Licenses for IT and electronic devices. These must meet wireless technology needs. WPC-approved items can be sold in India, as long as they’re safe for humans and use unlicensed bands.
