CRS Mark for Lighting Chain (Rope Lights)

The BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) certification is required for Lighting Chains (Rope Lights) in India to verify safety and quality compliance with IS 10322 (Part 5/Sec 8): 2013. Manufacturers and importers must test their goods at a BIS-approved lab, register on the BIS Manak site, and submit the necessary papers, including test reports. They are granted a BIS CRS number and the right to use the BIS CRS mark once approved. The certification is only valid for two years and has to be renewed. The BIS also undertakes market monitoring to guarantee compliance. This accreditation is required for lawful sales in India.
