Manufacturers have to test power banks in a BIS-approved lab and apply using the BIS portal (manakonline.in) together with necessary paperwork. Products approved have to show the BIS CRS logo and registration number. Two years is the validity of certification; renewal is required. For compliance, foreign producers have to name an Authorized Indian Representative (AIR).
