The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has released a new Quality Control Order (QCO). It’s called the “Steel Wire Ropes, Strands, Ring Net Panels, Rope Net Sheets and Rolls (Quality Control) Order, 2025.” The ISI Mark must now be on Galvanized Strand for Earthing in order for it to be made, imported into, or sold in India. The purpose of this activity is to make sure that all the grounding materials used in electrical work are of the same high quality. This will keep people safe and make the infrastructure last longer.

Mandatory Compliance Timelines
Based on the size of the manufacturing business, the QCO has a staggered implementation schedule:

- Check to see if their goods meet IS 12776:2002′s physical and chemical standards.
