Who needs to apply for LMPC Certificate ?

Anyone who is importing, manufacturing, selling a package  in India needs to apply for LMPC Certificate. The Department of Consumer Affairs of state or central authority of Legal Metrology in New Delhi, India issues the LMPC certificate, the LMPC certificate for importer and local manufacturer are similar , but are issued differently . Upon an application for LMPC certificate, the Director of Legal Metrology registers the importer's name and address in the legal metrology database, culminating in the issuance of the LMPC certificate for import.  

Any proprietorship, partnership, Pvt Ltd, Ltd , can apply for LMPC Certification for Importing and selling the product.
