How Instacertify supported a hygiene chemical manufacturer in Greater Noida

hygiene chemical manufacturer in Greater Noida

Client Requirement

A hygiene chemical manufacturer in Greater Noida planned to supply its products to buyers in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The company needed product safety data sheets for its export discussions. It also needed clear guidance on chemical hazards, safe handling, packaging, labelling and the information required for shipping.

Instacertify handled the requirement as a product safety documentation project. Our work focused on preparing structured MSDS/SDS documents from the available product information and explaining the checks the manufacturer needed to consider before supplying products to overseas buyers.

What Instacertify Did

1. Reviewed Product and Formulation Details

We reviewed the product information shared by the manufacturer, including the available ingredient details, CAS numbers, formulation information and existing technical documents. We used this information to identify the data needed for the safety data sheets and the points that required confirmation.

This step is important because hazard classification depends on the actual formulation and ingredient levels. A general template cannot replace a product-specific review.

2. Prepared Structured MSDS/SDS Documentation

We prepared the safety data sheet content in the recognised 16-section SDS format. The document structure covered product identification, hazard identification, composition, first aid, firefighting, accidental release, handling and storage, exposure controls, physical and chemical properties, stability and reactivity, health and environmental information, disposal, transport, regulatory information and other relevant details.

We organised the available product information into a clear technical document so that buyers and other relevant users could find the safety information they need. Final classification and statements must be supported by suitable product data and checked against the rules that apply to the product and target market.

3. Addressed GHS Hazard Communication

We considered the role of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) in communicating chemical hazards. Depending on the product classification and available data, an SDS and product label may need relevant hazard statements, precautionary statements, signal words and pictograms.

This work helps ensure that safety information is linked to the product’s actual hazards. The correct classification must be based on the formulation and supporting evidence, not selected only to fit a standard template.

4. Explained Product Safety and Safe Handling

We explained how the information in an SDS supports safe handling, storage and use. The relevant safety guidance depends on the product, but may include first-aid steps, spill response, fire response, exposure controls, personal protective equipment, storage conditions and disposal.

This helped the manufacturer understand how product information is used by workers, warehouse teams, transport providers, buyers and end users. The SDS is a safety document; it is not, by itself, a product approval or government certificate.

5. Reviewed GCC Export Documentation Needs

Because the products were intended for buyers in GCC countries, we explained the need to check the requirements for the specific destination country and product. Requirements can vary by country, chemical composition, intended use and product category. Buyers and importers may also request particular documents or label details.

We highlighted that an SDS prepared for one market may need review before it is used in another. The manufacturer should confirm any country-specific language, labelling, registration, permit or other import requirements that apply to its products. An SDS alone does not replace other approvals or documents where these are required.

6. Explained Packaging and Labelling Checks

We guided the client on the main packaging and labelling points to review before shipment. These included:

  • Checking that the container, cap, seal and other packaging parts are suitable for the chemical.

  • Checking package strength and closure quality to help prevent leaks during storage and handling.

  • Checking that product labels show the information required for the product and target market.

  • Checking whether GHS hazard labels are required based on the product classification.

  • Checking whether the product is classed as dangerous goods for transport and whether special transport packaging or labels apply.

  • Confirming what documents the buyer, freight forwarder or carrier needs before accepting the shipment.

We clarified that product labels and dangerous-goods transport labels serve different purposes. Transport requirements depend on the product classification, packaging, transport mode and destination. These details should be confirmed before the shipment is booked.

7. Connected Safety Documents with Shipping Preparation

We explained how the SDS, product label, package choice and transport information work together. This gave the client a clear set of checks to discuss with its buyer and logistics provider before dispatch.

Where a product may fall under dangerous-goods rules, the exporter must confirm the applicable transport classification and requirements with a qualified party or carrier. The SDS should not be treated as the only document needed for transport.

Work Delivered and Business Value

Instacertify provided support focused on the manufacturer’s need for organised safety documentation and a clearer understanding of export-related checks. The work covered:

  • Preparation of structured MSDS/SDS documentation using available product information.

  • GHS hazard communication considerations relevant to the product data.

  • Explanation of safety information for handling, storage and emergency response.

  • Guidance on checking destination-specific requirements for GCC markets.

  • Explanation of packaging compatibility, closure integrity, product labels and transport labels.

  • A practical list of points to confirm with the buyer, importer, freight forwarder or carrier before shipment.

The work connected the document preparation task with the real questions a chemical manufacturer needs to resolve before exporting. It helped the client understand which product details, safety statements, packaging features and shipping requirements need attention.

How Instacertify Supports Chemical Exporters

Instacertify supports manufacturers and exporters with product compliance consulting and technical documentation. Depending on the product and target market, our services may include:

  • MSDS/SDS preparation and review.

  • GHS classification and hazard communication support.

  • Review of ingredient and CAS number information.

  • Identification of missing product data.

  • Review of destination-market documentation needs.

  • Guidance on chemical packaging and product labelling.

  • Support in identifying transport classification and shipment documentation questions.

The scope is confirmed for each product. Technical classifications and safety statements must be based on suitable product data, and destination-specific requirements must be checked before shipment.
