NSIC Registration Online: Documents, Form, Fees & Benefits (Single Point Registration)
If your small business wants to win government tenders, NSIC registration is one of the most useful certificates you can hold. It is issued under NSIC's Single Point Registration Scheme (SPRS) and gives registered micro and small enterprises real advantages in public procurement.
This guide covers the documents, the online form, fees, inspection and the benefits you can expect. For an introduction, see what is an NSIC certificate.
Who Can Apply
- Micro and small enterprises with a valid Udyam Registration
- Manufacturers and service providers
- Units in production, or new units under one year old for provisional registration
Benefits of NSIC Registration
- Free tender sets from participating government buyers
- Exemption from earnest money deposit (EMD)
- Purchase preference: if your price is within L1 plus 15%, you can supply part of the order by matching the L1 price
- Credibility with government and large buyers, since NSIC verifies capacity through inspection
Registration on the GeM portal together with NSIC lets you use these benefits on most central government purchases.
Documents Required
- Udyam Registration certificate
- PAN and GST registration
- Partnership deed, MOA and AOA, or proprietorship proof
- Audited balance sheets and profit and loss statements for recent years (or a CA certificate for new units)
- Income tax returns
- Bank details and a cancelled cheque
- Proof of premises (ownership or rent agreement) and power connection
- List of machinery and test equipment with invoices

NSIC Registration Fees

| Each extra crore | +₹1,500 | +₹2,000 |
| Maximum | ₹1 lakh | |
GST applies on top. Renewal costs 50% of the registration fee. The inspection agency's charges are included in the fee structure set by NSIC.
NSIC Online Registration Process
- Register on the NSIC SPRS online portal with your Udyam number.
- Fill in the online form: enterprise details, products or services, installed capacity, machinery and financials.
- Upload documents and pay the fee.
- Inspection: an NSIC-empanelled agency inspects the unit and verifies capacity, machinery and quality.
- Review by NSIC based on the inspection report.
- Certificate issued, listing the items you are registered for and your monetary limit.
Provisional Registration for New Units
If your unit has been running for less than a year, you can get provisional registration with a monetary limit of ₹5 lakh. Once you have a full year of operations and financials, you can apply for regular registration with a higher limit.
Validity and Renewal
The certificate is valid for the period stated on it. Apply for renewal before expiry, with updated financials, to keep the benefits without a gap.
Common Mistakes
- Mismatched data. Udyam, GST and balance sheet figures must match.
- Listing products you do not make. The inspection checks capacity for each item.
- Missing machinery invoices. These support your installed capacity.
- Letting registration lapse before a large tender.
