Common questions
Can I still get ISO 9002 certified?
No. ISO 9002 was withdrawn in 2000. If your company only does production and not design, you now get certified under ISO 9001, and you simply "exclude" the design requirements (Clause 8.3) from your scope.
What is the main difference between ISO 9001:2008 and 9001:2015?
The 2015 version introduced Risk-Based Thinking. Instead of just reacting to problems, companies must now proactively identify risks that could prevent them from meeting quality goals.
Does ISO 9001 require a Quality Manual?
Under the 2015 version, a formal "Quality Manual" is no longer strictly mandatory, but you are still required to maintain "documented information" to prove your system works.
