CRS Mark for LED Luminaires for Emergency Lighting

Under IS 10322, Part 5: Section 8: 2013 LED luminaires for emergency lighting in India must have BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) certification. This guarantees Indian standards’ compliance, performance, and product safety. Manufacturers have to apply to BIS for certification, send their goods for testing at BIS-approved labs with full paperwork. Foreign companies have to name an Authorized Indian Representative (AIR). Approved, the product gets a BIS CRS registration number that lets it be sold in India. The certification has two years validity and needs renewal. In the Indian lighting market, this control serves to preserve quality and safety.
