CRS Mark for Set Top Box

Set-Top Boxes (STBs) in India must have their BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) certification to guarantee adherence to safety and quality criteria. IS 13252 (Part 1), the relevant Indian Standard, 2010 addresses the safety criteria for IT and electronic devices. Manufacturers have to get their STBs tested at a BIS-approved lab and send an application to BIS together with business records, labeling information, and test findings. Approved, the product has to show the BIS CRS mark before it’s sold. This certification guarantees in the Indian market customer safety, product dependability, and regulatory compliance.
