CRS Mark for Webcam (Finished Product)

Under IS 13252 (Part 1: 2010) the BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) certification is required for webcams (finished goods) in India. It guarantees before sale product safety and conformity with Indian guidelines. Manufacturers have to test their webcams in a BIS-approved lab, provide the test report to BIS together with necessary paperwork, and get certification. Foreign companies have to name an Authorized Indian Representative (AIR). The CRS mark has to be shown on the packaging and goods once certified. Valid for two years, the certification guarantees lawful market entrance in India.
