Product-specific councils, such as EEPC for engineering goods, Pharmexcil for pharmaceuticals or the Spices Board for spices, issue RCMC to exporters of their products. FIEO issues it to exporters who deal in several products, to service exporters, to EOU and SEZ units, and to exporters whose products no specific council covers. These are FIEO’s published annual fees, excluding 18% GST. A one-time processing fee applies to a new e-RCMC, and FIEO gives a discount for paying several years in advance. Check the current schedule on FIEO’s website before paying.
An e-RCMC issued through FIEO is valid for five financial years, ending on 31 March of the fifth year, provided the membership fee is paid each year. Renew on the DGFT portal before it expires.

The annual fee for a multi-product exporter is ₹7,000 below ₹5 crore turnover and ₹7,850 above it, plus 18% GST. Service providers, EOUs and SEZ units pay different rates, and a new e-RCMC has a one-time processing fee.
A FIEO RCMC covers multi-product exporters and products no specific council covers. If your products fall under a product-specific export promotion council, the Foreign Trade Policy expects you to take RCMC from that council.
